LPCRTL Oratory Contest Changes:
The La Porte County Right to Life organization is working hard to respect the social distancing mandate. We will have our county oratory contest but not in person. In the spirit of innovation & technology, we encourage all students to video record their speech and send it to our email, email@example.com. Please fill out and attach your personal information as well. (See County RTL Oratory form.) Each entry must have a written speech submitted with the application. The deadline is April 15th to give us a few days to judge and call winners.
The State contest deadline is April 20th, with no exceptions. We will be sending one winner on to the state level. If you win on the State level, you will be sent with a parent or sponsor to the national contest. However, given the current pandemic, all state and national contests are subject to change.
Statement of Purpose for the contest; The Indiana and LaPorte County Right to Life Oratory Contest strives to promote the ability of high school juniors and seniors to share their pro-life view with others. Although speaking ability is important, this contest also seeks to help teens organize and express their pro-life views. We also strive to give the contestants an opportunity to meet other pro-life teens.
